Nott is the crushing two-piece extreme metal project of Tyler Campbell and Julia Geaman, a band built on sheer weight, tension, and unfiltered atmosphere. With Campbell hailing from Alaska and now based in Seattle, WA, and Geaman based in Vancouver, BC, Nott stands as a cross-regional entity rooted in the darkest corners of the Pacific Northwest underground.
Sonically, Nott occupies a brutal space where dissonant death metal, doom, and sludge collide, pulling the listener through oppressive riff structures, suffocating low-end, and relentless rhythmic density. Their sound is equal parts deliberate and violent, spanning the range from full-force sonic devastation to a slow-motion freefall into the abyss. It’s extreme metal built not for spectacle, but for impact.
Known for delivering a live presence that feels impossibly massive and immersive, Nott has earned attention through the sheer force of what two musicians can create together. The duo crafts a bleak, overwhelming wall of sound that is intense, dynamic, and uncompromising.
Now returning with their third full-length album (and their second release with Silent Pendulum Records), Nott is stepping back into the spotlight with purpose. After building momentum on stage and remaining silent on the release front since 2023, the band is poised to resurface louder, heavier, and more focused than ever with As All Is Undone, out September 4th.
