From the recording The Wretched Sounds
A pale incandescence
Emanates from the fault.
Oh, how long it’s been since I could recall
The color of the void.
Luminous fissures wrench open at their heels.
Why now must the answer
Peel away from all that can see?
I find myself drawn inside with bated breath.
Aren’t you paralyzed by the brilliance
That radiates from within?
Staggering, the fervor of the
Lidless gaze cast over me.
I thought this was the end
Of everything we knew.
I’m longing to feel something for once
Without rupturing the silence.
Disbelief consumes what’s left of me.
The unending, boiling glare,
Blurring the lines between safe and real.
Will we ever find solace once all has been revealed?
